The Antelope
Valley a great place to live!
Many people have
no idea where the Antelope Valley is but to those of us who live here, it is a
place of deep blue skies, starry nights, open roads, nearby mountains, moderate climate,
and low rainfall.
Some people might
term it the desert wastelands, which in some ways is an apt description of the desert
surrounds, but such a description does not take into account the bustling cities, the
cultural activities, low crime rates and great employment opportunities.
Best known as the home
of the space shuttle, and an aerospace center, the Antelope Valley has many other
claims to fame. Take the Joshua tree, which is found nowhere else in the world except
Israel, and the feline sanctuary that has more large cats than any other private sanctuary
in the US with more than 50 large cats from 6 continents!
The Antelope
Valley is far more than just a desert wasteland!
Located about 60
miles north of Los Angeles on AV Freeway 14, the Antelope Valley covers about 3000 square
miles, and has an estimated 300,000 inhabitants. Once you have left the congestion of Los
Angeles and hit the clear air of the valley, it will seem more like a desert oasis than a
wasteland. With a collage of thriving desert communities surrounded by the picturesque
mountains, and the rugged beauty of the Mojave Desert, it will seem like a refuge from the
hectic life of the big cities. It is a refuge! You and your family can
experience an easier lifestyle good employment prospects, excellent schools,
affordable homes and a wonderful place to raise children.
With a rapidly
growing cultural scene and a thriving economy with low housing costs, the Antelope Valley
presents a very real opportunity for people looking for a new place to live.
